Front Beach Cottages in Ocean Springs, Mississippi is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us.
ARE YOU ON THE BEACH?
We are just a block and a half away up from Front Beach in Ocean Springs. We are also just three blocks from all things downtown, and both are an easy stroll through a very nice residential neighborhood.
DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
We currently offer two cottages that are dog-friendly. Our Key West Cabana and our Bellande Cottage can each accommodate dogs of 35 pounds or less. A $30 pet fee will be charged per dog, and we allow a maximum of two dogs per cottage. Dogs must be on a leash at all times while outside of the cottage you are residing in, and you must clean up after your pet.
Unfortunately, we are not able to allow cats in the cottages. We truly love all feline friends; however, we have found that guests with allergies may suffer from severe allergic reactions due to the presence of cats if they are allowed inside of our cottages, so they are simply not permitted.
What is your cancellation policy?
Front Beach Cottages is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least fifteen (15) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel within two weeks (14) days of arrival, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation.
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods, festival or event weekends and special requests. A 30-day cancellation notice is required on whole property bookings, holidays and special events. Weather-related cancellations are subject to owner's approval.
Please understand there are no exceptions to this policy as we are a very small business with only four cottages.
We are happy to offer "Worry-Free Booking" through our partners at Resnexus. If you choose to purchase Worry-Free Booking at the time of the reservation for an additional 10%, you are given a full refund of the reservation should you cancel within two weeks or less of your set arrival date. There are specific reasons they allow for reimbursement, so please check details when booking your stay through our Resnexus partner, or you can refer to their website for more details: https://worryfreebookings.com/
DO YOU ALLOW LONG-TERM RENTALS?
Our average length of stay is usually three to four nights; however, we have offered one or two month stays during our slower season upon request (December to February). We will be happy to accommodate longer stays during those months based upon availability.
CAN I STAY JUST ONE NIGHT?
We typically require two or three night stays during the weekends and summer season; however, we are happy to accommodate one night only reservations on Sundays through Thursdays.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGER PARTIES?
Absolutely! Large groups are invited to reserve all four cottages based on availability. Also, the definition of 'Lagniappe' is 'a little something extra', and our Lagniappe Cottage provides just that! The Lagniappe and NOLA Cottages have an adjoining door, which provides for the perfect accommodation for a large group or family looking to share a space.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes, you may park your car next to the proprietor's home (blue house) as soon as you arrive. Each cottage is allowed one car per reservation. There are a couple of extra parking spaces to accommodate visitors, but we do ask that you carpool in one car if possible. Please keep your car locked and valuables secured. Front Beach Cottages is not responsible for any missing or damaged items.
CAN WE BRING OUR TRAILER?
We do not have space available for a trailer; however, there is a public parking lot that is large and very well lit on Government Street if you need to park a trailer. You may park at your own risk.
ARE YOU ADA COMPLIANT?
Unfortunately, our cottages are not ADA compliant at this time. Our driveway/common area is covered in limestone. There are 3-4 steps leading up to each cottage entrance with no ramp access. None of the cottage bathrooms are currently handicap accessible. We do sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
DO YOU HAVE A POOL?
We are sorry to say that we do not have a pool on site. We wish that we did! However, we are such a short walk away from Front Beach in Ocean Springs! Fort Maurepas Park is located directly across the street from Front Beach and features a great splash pad for children. The Ocean Springs Yacht Club is less than one mile from Front Beach Cottages, and you are a welcomed visitor should you be an active member of another yacht club in the USA. Also, there are several fabulous casinos within a short driving distance that provide day passes to their pools for a small fee.
IS THE WATER BLUE AT THE BEACH?
We are blessed to live on the Mississippi Sound! The Gulf Islands separate the mainland from the Gulf of Mexico, which creates an estuary and allows for a calm beachfront, but ultimately, no blue water. It is a beautiful beach and safe to swim in! Estuaries are a wonderful thing, because they provide safe environments for the growing shrimp, crabs, fish and oysters, and we all love this delicious seafood!

CANCELLATION
100% refunds are available if reservation is cancelled up to 30 days before arrival.
Worry-Free Booking by Resnexus gives you a full refund if you have to cancel your plans within 30 days of arrival due to illness/injury, including COVID-19. You can choose this option for an additional 10% of the reservation. Please see terms and conditions. If your reservation must be cancelled between 30 days and two weeks prior to arrival, your deposit is non-refundable. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than two weeks notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation.
RATES
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high-impact periods, holidays, festival or event weekends and special requests. A 30-day cancellation notice is required on whole house bookings and reservations lasting longer than 7 days, and for special events and some holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, July 4th, Memorial Day and Labor Day.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
CHECK-IN BEGINS AT 3PM & CHECK-OUT IS AT 10AM
NO SMOKING
Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the cottages or common areas; however, designated outdoor smoking areas are available. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if any evidence of smoking inside is discovered upon check-out.
HOUSEKEEPING
Daily housekeeping service is not provided at Front Beach Cottages. We operate as a hybrid boutique inn/vacation rental and have a high degree of respect for the privacy of our guests. Should additional supplies be required during your stay, please visit the office and call or text us. Guests are expected to remove their trash on a regular basis to the large bins available outside of each cottage.
LAUNDRY
There is a guest laundry room on the property located behind the Bellande Cottage. Guests are asked to use the coin operated machines, if available. Use of the non-coin machines is reserved exclusively for the housekeeping staff at Front Beach Cottages between 11 am and 3 pm daily. Guests are responsible for providing their own laundry supplies.
PETS
Friendly canines that do not bark constantly are allowed in the Bellande Cottage and Key West Cabana upon payment of a non-refundable pet fee. Guests are responsible for controlling and cleaning up after their pets. All pets must be on leashes when outside on property.
ADVENTURE
Bicycles and kayaks are provided free of charge and no warranties or representations are made as to the operability or condition of the bicycles and kayaks available for guest use. Bicycles and kayaks are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and no reservations are accepted. Front Beach Cottages does not supply bicycle helmets, and use of the bicycles and kayaks are at the guest’s own risk. It is the guest's responsibility to check weather and sea conditions prior to using the kayaks and to have all required personal protective gear on the kayak. Bicycle locks are available, and the bicycles and kayaks are the guest’s responsibility while in their possession.
LOST KEY
$30 lost key charge applicable for any keys not returned at check-out.
WiFI
WiFi is available throughout Front Beach Cottages, but signal strength or reliability is not guaranteed. No refunds will be given for unavailable or unreliable WiFi access.
PARKING
One parking spot is available for each cottage, and signs are displayed throughout the property indicating the location of the parking spots. Parking is at your own risk, and Front Beach Cottages is not responsible for any vehicles on Front Beach Cottages’ property. There are two unmarked guest parking spots in front of the Key West Cabana. These spots are narrow and do not provide a sufficient turning radius for SUVs, trucks or any vehicle larger than a compact vehicle. Public parking is available at Front Beach for guests. No trailers or boats are permitted at Front Beach Cottages.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
Original, valid gift certificates must be presented at check-in along with a valid driver’s license. Gift certificates are non-transferable, except in certain circumstances. Check with the management of Front Beach Cottages for further details. Any remaining unused amount on gift certificates cannot be used at a later date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.
